Honoro Vera Rioja is a red wine produced by Bodegas Rosario Vera in D.O.Ca. Rioja.


 


Bodegas Rosario Vera is the new winery of Grupo Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares in Rioja. With several plots in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, acquired in 2016, Grupo Juan Gil lands in La Rioja, a project that has been in progress for several years, and that sees the light of vinifying its first vintage in this same year.


 


Honoro Vera Rioja is a wine made with Tempranillo from vineyards that are between 15 and 60 years old, located in the municipality of Laguardia, planted on limestone soils rich in clay.





Once the grapes are harvested, the fermentation takes place in stainless steel deposits for 15 days with temperature control (maximum 27°C). Then, 10% of the wine is aged for 5 months in French oak barrels.

Short DescriptionVery juicy throughout, little acidic at first opening but as the wine opened up it really became well balanced. Slight chocolate note on the finish. Enjoyable bottle of wine.
