Short Description | Medium amber in the glass, Clyde May’s promises warmth.
Apple cider vinegar hits immediately on the nose, followed by a cacophony of scents running the spectrum from spiced fruit to rot. Apple juice, orange blossom water, and caramelized root vegetables give depth and warmth to the nose, while decay, sulphur, and a certain meatiness lend complexity.

Description | Clyde Mays - Barrel ReserveUsing copper stills, fresh Alabama spring water and the finest local grains, Clyde May, a moonshiner by trade but a craftsman by heart, vowed to make the best darn whiskey Alabama had ever tasted. While others sold their moonshine straight, he aged small batches in charred oak barrels and experimented until he created his own unique finish—Alabama Style. Every Christmas, Clyde gave away unmarked bottles of his illegal amber nectar to lucky locals. There still remain folk with a few carefully tucked away. This special reserve recreates these rare bottles. |
